Tokyo Stock Exchange halts transactions in the biggest technical glitch to hit its network in more than a decade

A network problem forced the operator of the Tokyo Stock Exchange to halt trading on Thursday, freezing buying and selling in thousands of shares on the first day of the new quarter, just as key economic data was being published.Orders for shares were refused and Japan Exchange Group said it does not know when the system will be restored.
