The city wakes up to a rainy weekend, with the Hong Kong Observatory issuing an amber rainstorm warning.The warning was issued at 8.58am, which means heavy rain has fallen or is expected to fall generally over the city, exceeding 30 millimetres in an hour, and is likely to continue.The Southern district and outlying islands recorded heavy rain, at 70 mm in the hour to 8.40am.The Observatory warned the public to take precautions to avoid flood damages.
